IHM Awareness training
From July 1st 2021, any ship which is 500GT or over, regardless of flag, will require a valid and certified Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM) on board if calling at an EU port or anchorage.
This training focusses on the key issues that crewmembers will have to deal with.
The STCW.online IHM Awareness online course provides knowledge for all officers and crewmembers involved in the IHM protocol on board.

- After passing the assessment, you will receive a download link for your signed and stamped certificate
- You are free to (re)print your certificate anytime
- An original hard-copy by mail can be ordered (not included)

- It takes approximately one (1) hour to complete the IHM Awareness course.
- This also depends on your English language skills. Native speakers may need less time.
Our online STCW courses are all in English (with the exception of the specific language courses).
- The certificate has been developed in accordance with Ship Recycling Regulation of the European Union – EU SRR. Mandatory for all ships making port in EU member states.
- This course is approved by ECMT, The Netherlands.
